Mechanicals 4: Gearshift

This pendant brings industrial elegance into focus with three distinct vintage gears— salvaged from old watches and clocks — suspended in resin. The piece hints at the idea that time, no matter how mechanical, still sparkles with possibility.

Part of my Mechanicals collection, this one is heartless (literally), but no less compelling. While many of the other pieces feature handmade clay hearts, this tall, slender antique brass bezel lets the gears do the talking. The asymmetry between toothy tension and shimmering calm is what makes this one feel quietly rebellious.
